Advanced Clinical Training (ACT) Program

Admission Requirements 
Requirements for admission to the ACT Program in Pediatric Dentistry are the following: 
  • Degree from a dental school accredited by the local government jurisdiction
  • English Language proficiency

Application Process
Complete and Submit the Following: 
  • Download an Application Form 
  • Official Dental Education Transcripts and an Official ECE Course-by-Course Report 
  • 3 Confidential Reports from people with knowledge of the applicant's skills and potential 
  • Proof of English Language proficiency for people with English as a second language (official TOEFL or IELTS score required) 
  • One-time, non-refundable application fee of $150.00 (the application fee must be paid in US dollars in the form of a check drawn from a US-affiliated bank, cashier's check, or money order made payable to UC Regents.)

Incomplete files will not be considered.
Photocopies of official transcripts and TOEFL/IELTS scores will not be accepted. 
Interviews & Selection Process
Phone interviews may be conducted.  If you have been selected to interview, you will be notified by the Clinic Administrator.  

The admissions committee considers the following criteria in its decisions: 
  • Academic standing during dental training 
  • English proficiency 
  • Content of confidential reports 
  • Future plans 

Decisions will be made on a rolling basis.  A letter of acceptance signed by the Program Director and Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Personnel will be issued upon acceptance.
